DSP - I bought one!

I bought a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) off ebay secondhand tonight. See above. Fitting it involves taking the case off the radio and messing about a bit with its innards, always good for a laugh! See below ** for a full explanation from the IcomAmerica site of what it does. Hopefully it will cut out even more noise, my new Welbrook antenna has done a good job so far, More news when I have fitted and tried it out.

**DSP capability

The DSP includes the following to give you superior receiver quality in your shack, vehicle or during DX'pedition.
*DSP is built in to U.S. models, but may be optional outside the U.S. Please check with your dealer.

rving the receive signal. Also, the notch frequency is automatically adjusted to follow interfering beat signals - for example, reducing interference from RTTY signals during SSB operation.
