DSP - I bought one!

I bought a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) off ebay secondhand tonight. See above. Fitting it involves taking the case off the radio and messing about a bit with its innards, always good for a laugh! Hopefully it will cut out even more noise, my new Welbrook antenna has done a good job so far, More news when I have fitted and tried it out.

Speaker Output ComparisonNoise reduction:
Pulls desired AF signals from noise. Outstanding S/N ratio is achieved, providing clean audio in SSB, AM and FM.

Automatic Notch filter:
This automatically minimizes beat signals and heterodynes while prese

rving the receive signal. Also, the notch frequency is automatically adjusted to follow interfering beat signals - for example, reducing interference from RTTY signals during SSB operation.
